From Miritini station to Mombasa Island
From Miritini the route heads back through Changamwe towards the city before turning north. From the airport the drive runs through Changamwe and along the A109 over the Makupa Causeway onto the island. Distance is short, but the causeway and Moi Avenue slow down at rush hour, so we allow extra time for morning and evening arrivals.

Skip the crowd at the station exit
Taxi drivers crowd the Miritini exit when a train comes in. Your driver holds a name board, helps with luggage and follows the train’s real arrival time, so a late train costs you nothing.
