Diani is Kenya’s best-known beach: a long strip of white sand south of Mombasa, with resorts, villas, kitesurfing and colobus monkeys in the coastal forest.

Half day or full day?

A half day covers most of Diani Beach itself. A full day leaves time for a trip out of town: Tiwi is 20–35 min away, Msambweni is 30–45 min away and Mombasa Island is 55–80 min away.

Local tip

If you fly domestically, Diani’s own airstrip at Ukunda (UKA) is 10–20 minutes from most hotels. We meet those flights too.
