Getting to Vipingo
The route continues north past Mtwapa and Kikambala on the Malindi road before turning off towards the estate or the beach.
On the way you pass Nyali Bridge, Mtwapa Creek Bridge and Kikambala.
Where visitors stay
Most visitors stay in the gated Vipingo Ridge estate or in beach villas at Kuruwitu. Gate access and a guest list are usually needed.
Things to do in Vipingo
Vipingo Ridge: Golf estate whose Baobab course hosts the Magical Kenya Ladies Open.
Kuruwitu: Community-run no-take reef area set up in 2005, with snorkelling on the recovering coral.
