Getting to Bamburi
After Nyali Bridge the route follows the Malindi road north. Most Bamburi and Shanzu hotels are a short turn off the highway towards the beach.
On the way you pass Nyali Bridge and Bamburi.
Where visitors stay
All-inclusive and mid-range resorts run along Bamburi Beach and continue north to Shanzu and Serena Beach, reached by short roads off the Malindi highway.

Things to do in Bamburi
Haller Park: Nature trails, giraffes and hippos in a restored Bamburi Cement quarry, a UNEP Global 500 award winner and good for a half day with children.
Bamburi Beach: Long beach with resort access and a public section popular at weekends.
Shanzu: Quieter beach hotels, including Serena Beach, at the northern end before Mtwapa Creek.
Local tip
Resort check-in is usually from 14:00. If your flight lands in the morning, ask us about a stop at Haller Park or a café on the way.
